Lock 13 was the most difficult lock to find but the easiest to get down to the water. It appeared that who every put the gates up had a hard finding the lock also, because we didn't see a gate. Lock 13 is the only lock that has a death associated with it.  Some of the history of lock 13 is on page 272 in Lock History and page 131 of  Kentucky River Development e-book. As you can see in the photos it was raining when I was at locks 11-14. Fitting, seeing the struggle the builders went through.
